Modern Warfare 4 Season 1 goes live at midnight ET on Friday, November 6, 2026, which is 9 p.m. PT on Thursday, November 5, 2026. The update reaches Modern Warfare 4 and Warzone at the same moment on every platform, two weeks after the game's October 23, 2026, launch.

Season 1 adds three multiplayer maps on day one: Backstab, Canyon and a reimagined Shoot House. Ministry and Overflow follow at midseason, the content drop that lands partway through every Call of Duty season.
The battle pass has 100 tiers and costs 1,100 COD Points, the game's premium currency, while the battle pass bundle costs 2,400. Vault Edition owners get BlackCell, the premium upgrade to the pass, when the season starts: Activision says the battle pass, tier skips and COD Points included with it unlock as soon as the Season 1 pass goes live in the game.
Season 1 is when Warzone switches to Modern Warfare 4 content and seasonal progression. A new Operator Skin toggle shows only Modern Warfare 4 operators when it's on, and older weapons move to a Legacy tab.
Warzone also arrives on Switch 2 with Season 1, and it stops working on PS4 and Xbox One the moment the season begins. Players on those consoles can keep dropping in until then; after that, Warzone needs a PS5, an Xbox Series X|S, a Switch 2 or a PC.
