GTA 6 release date: November 19, confirmed again (and the controller Sony already wants to sell you)
At the September 3 State of Play, Sony repeated the date and showed two limited-edition DualSense controllers. What was confirmed, what the controllers cost and what the game won't have.
Update, September 17: Rockstar announced Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album, 34 original songs out the same day as the game, November 19. The first tracks include two names that are huge in Latin America: Rauw Alejandro and the Argentine duo CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso.
GTA 6 comes out on November 19, 2026
Sony mentioned the date again at its September 3 State of Play, while showing the official controllers: Grand Theft Auto VI arrives on Thursday, November 19, 2026. The game comes out on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, on the date Rockstar set when it announced the last delay, so nothing has moved.
The PC version still has no announcement and no date. Rockstar usually ships on consoles first and brings PC later, as it did with GTA V.
The GTA 6 PS5 controllers: price and release date
The news at the State of Play was a pair of limited-edition DualSense controllers, one black and one white, with a color-shifting finish and molded palm trees that point straight at Vice City. They cost $84.99 each.
Pre-orders opened on September 10 at PlayStation Direct, where the black one is exclusive, and elsewhere they're sold through select retailers. Both launch on the same day as the game, November 19. PlayStation Direct only operates in a handful of countries, so in Paraguay they'll likely show up through electronics stores and importers, with a markup on the dollar price.
What else we know about GTA 6
The game returns to Vice City, Rockstar's take on Miami, with two protagonists: Lucia and Jason. Pre-orders have been open since June 25, Rockstar showed extended gameplay on August 27, and now the official accessories are here.
Will GTA 6 have a VR mode?
No. Neither Rockstar nor Sony has announced support for PS VR2 or any other headset, and nothing shown so far points that way. We go through it in Does GTA 6 have VR?: the PC version, which is where VR mods usually appear, doesn't even have a date.
If what you're after is stepping inside a world and actually moving around, that's a different kind of experience: free-roam VR, where you walk through a real space with the headset on, next to your friends.
What we still don't know
There's no PC date and no word on special physical editions for Latin America. The game's price has been official since June: $79.99 for the Standard Edition and $99.99 for the Ultimate Edition. If Rockstar moves anything, you'll see it on its official site first.
